OCCURRED AS VEH 1 WAS OVERTAKING UNKNOWN VEH 2 WHEN VEH 1 CHANGED LANES AND STRUCK THE FRONT OF VEH 2. VEH 1 STARTED SKIDDING AND TRAVELED OFF OF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND STRUCK A DIRT EMBANKMENT. VEH 2 CONTINUED SOUTHBOUND ON HWY 63 AND LEFT THE SCENE.

Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2010 Kia Optima driven by Butler was moderate. It was removed by To/By Plaza Towing.

The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
