DRIVER 3 CHANGED LANES FROM LANE TWO TO LANE ONE TO OVERTAKE VEHICLE 2 BUT FAILED TO AVOID VEHICLE 2. THE FRONT OF VEHICLE 3 STRUCK THE REAR OF VEHICLE 2. DEBRIS FROM THE CRASH STRUCK THE WINDSHIELD OF VEHICLE 1. VEHICLE 2 CONTINUED, OUT OF CONTROL, AND THE FRONT OF VEHICLE 2 STRUCK THE TOWED UNIT OF VEHICLE 1. VEHICLE 2 THEN TRAVELED OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY, AND STRUCK A GUARDRAIL FACE. ASSISTED BY CPL. R. L. CALVERT (165) AND TPR. C. A. GROVES (348).
Injuries
Pilla's injuries were minor. Pilla was not taken to the hospital.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2016 Audi A6 driven by Pilla was extensive. It was removed by Towed To/By Mcnamaras Towing. The damage to the 1997 Chrysler Sebring driven by Korn was total. It was removed by Towed To/By Mcnamaras Towing. The damage to the 2001 Freightliner Fld 120 driven by Martin was minor. It was removed by Driven From The Scene, Trailer Towed To/By Mcnamaras Towing.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Tpr J D Procknow of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200462678 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
