FATALITY CRASH - VEHICLE 1 TRAVELLED OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. DRIVER 1 OVERCORRECTED AND STRUCK VEHICLE 2 HEAD-ON, FATALLY INJURING DRIVER 2. NEXT OF KIN HAS BEEN NOTIFIED. THE DECEASED WAS TRANSPORTED TO MISSOURI BAPTIST HOSPITAL IN SULLIVAN WHERE HE WAS PRONOUNCED DECEASED AT 1745 HOURS BY DR. MELISSA BRADLEY. THIS IS TROOP I'S 1ST FATALITY FOR DECEMBER AND THE 32ND FOR 2020. ASSISTED BY MSGT L. D. DECLUE, (642), TPR J. D. SANDERS, (1436), CPL M. B. LOMEDICO, (481) WITH THE CRASH TEAM. CUBA POLICE DEPARTMENT, AND THE SHERIFF'S OFFICE CRAWFORD COUNTY.

Injuries

Rayoum's injuries were moderate. Rayoum was taken by North Crawford Ambulance to Missouri Baptist - Sullivan.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2018 Kia Optima driven by Crocker was total. It was removed by Towed By Miles And Sons' Towing. The damage to the 2004 Nissan Quest driven by Rayoum was total. It was removed by Towed By Miles And Sons'.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

Cpl J T Peart of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200619774 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
