VEH #1 STRUCK A GUARDRAIL AND OVERTURNED, COMING TO REST ON ITS DRIVER'S SIDE IN THE DRIVING LANE. AFTER IMPACT, THE DRIVER OF VEH #3 ATTEMPTED TO STOP BUT STRUCK THE REAR RIGHT FENDER OF VEH #2. VEH #2 CAME TO A CONTROLLED STOP ON THE SHOULDER OF US36 EXIT TO SOUTHBOUND I29. VEH #3 ROTATED CLOCKWISE AND CAME TO REST IN THE MERGE LANE ON ITS WHEELS. ASSISTED BY SGT D.R. REUTER (622) AND ST. Injuries
Goacher's injuries were moderate. Goacher was taken by Southern Jackson County Ems to Mosaic St. Joseph.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2013 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Cook was total. It was removed by Towed By Blue Knight. The damage to the 2007 Ford Fusion driven by Leer was extensive. It was removed by Towed By Blue Knight. The damage to the 2022 Jeep Gladiator driven by Goacher was extensive. It was removed by Towed By Blue Knight.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Tpr A M Mapel of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 230370581 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
