Linda S Hemenway of Columbia, IL was killed on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 7:48PM in St. Louis County, Missouri. Hemenway is a 62-year-old woman.

FATAL CRASH REPORT - AT THE TIME OF THE CRASH, THERE WAS NOT A DRIVER FOR VEHICLE 1. THE OCCUPANTS OF VEHICLE 1 WERE ATTEMPTING TO CHANGE DRIVERS. THE VEHICLE WAS ORIGINALLY DRIVEN BY OCCUPANT 1 (LINDA HEMENWAY), WHO STOPPED VEHICLE 1 ON THE RIGHT SHOULDER. THE VEHICLE WAS INADVERTENTLY PLACED IN REVERSE INSTEAD OF PARK. OCCUPANT 1 MOVED FROM THE DRIVER'S SEAT TO THE PASSENGER'S SEAT. VEHICLE 1 BEGAN TO TRAVEL IN REVERSE. OCCUPANT 2 (EDWIN HEMENWAY) WAS OUTSIDE OF VEHICLE 1 AND WAS KNOCKED OVER IN LANE THREE BY VEHICLE 1. THE VEHICLE CONTINUED TRAVELING IN REVERSE ACROSS THE INTERSTATE, AND THE FRONT OF VEHICLE 2 STRUCK THE RIGHT SIDE OF VEHICLE 1. OCCUPANT 1 WAS PRONOUNCED BY PARAMEDIC B. FIROOZ (P18750) AT APPROXIMATELY 1957 HOURS. ASSISTED BY TPR. J. R. BROWN (184), MSGT. R. E. HOEHN (902), AND SGT. A. H. MICHAJLICZENKO (769).
Injuries
Hemenway's injuries were fatal. Hemenway was taken by Lonning Mortuary to St Louis County Medical Examiners Office.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2019 Volvo Vnl driven by Seville was extensive. It was removed by Taken By/To Mclanahan Tow. The damage to the 2002 Jeep Wrangler driven by No driver was total. It was removed by Taken By/To Miners Towing.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Tpr J S Huskey and McIu Team Sgt J A Mulkey of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 220041425 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
