CRASH OCCURRED AS VEH1 WAS TRAVELLING SOUTHBOUND AND VEH2 WAS NORTHBOUND ON US 169, VEH1 CROSSED THE CENTER OF THE ROADWAY INTO THE PATH OF VEH2. VEH1'S FRONT BUMPER IMPACTED VEH2'S FRONT BUMPER. VEH2 BEGAN TO SKID AND WENT OFF OF THE EAST SIDE OF THE ROADWAY BEFORE RETURNING TO THE ROAD AND CROSSING BOTH LANES COMING TO REST OFF OF THE WEST SIDE OF THE ROADWAY FACING SOUTHWEST. VEH1 WENT OFF OF THE WEST OF THE ROADWAY COMING TO REST FACING NORTHEAST. ASSISTED BY SGT. J. M. CROSS (446), TPR. J. J. THOMPSON (1414) , TPR. J. W. SMITH (372), AND BUCHANAN CO SO.
Injuries
McAlister's injuries were serious. McAlister was taken by Buchanan Co Ems to Mosaic Life Care St. Joseph.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2021 Chevrolet Equinox driven by was total. It was removed by Towed By Randy'S. The damage to the 2017 Gmc Sierra driven by Faulconer was total. It was removed by Towed By Randy'S.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Tpr R A Allee of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210340282 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
