FATALITY REPORT - THIS IS TROOP D'S 70TH FATALITY FOR 2021 - CRASH OCCURRED AS VEHICLE 1 WAS EASTBOUND ON MISSOURI 32 AND STRUCK A PEDESTRIAN WHO WAS RUNNING TOWARD VEHICLE 1 IN THE EASTBOUND LANE. THE PEDESTRIAN WAS PRONOUNCED DECEASED BY DALLAS COUNTY CORONER MATT WISDOM AT 2258 HOURS AT THE SCENE. AS REQUIRED BY LAW THE SURVIVING DRIVER WAS TESTED FOR ALCOHOL.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 1989 Nissan Sentra driven by Wilson was minor. It was removed by Driven From The Scene.

Tpr A Dill and McIu Sgt S Richardson of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210341994 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
