DRIVER 2 WAS A PEDALCYCLIST THAT WAS OPERATING ONE PEDALCYCLE WHILE PULLING ANOTHER PEDALCYCLE WITH HIS LEFT HAND. DRIVER 1 FAILED TO DRIVE WITHIN A SINGLE LANE. VEHICLE 1 TRAVELED OFF THE RIGHT PORTION OF THE ROADWAY AND STRUCK THE REAR WHEEL OF DRIVER 2'S PULLED PEDALCYCLE. VEHICLE 1 BRIEFLY RETURNED TO THE ROADWAY BEFORE COMING TO A CONTROLLED STOP ON THE WESTBOUND SHOULDER.
Injuries
Ford's injuries were minor. Ford was taken by Cole County Ems to University Hospital.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2016 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Webster was moderate. It was removed by Towed By Toebben'S Towing. The damage to the Pedalcycle - Mongoose Hotshot driven by Ford was minor. It was removed by Removed By Toebben'S Towing.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Tpr D L Hughes of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210296170 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
