CRASH OCCURRED AS VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING WESTBOUND ON I-70. VEHICLE TRAVELED OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY, STRUCK A ROAD SIGN, TRAVELED ONTO THE EXIT RAMP, AND OVERTURNED ONTO ITS DRIVER SIDE. VEHICLE SLID OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE EXIT RAMP AND CAME TO REST ON ITS DRIVER SIDE, PARTIALLY BLOCKING THE RAMP, FACING NORTH. ASSISTED BY THE SALINE COUNTY SHERIFFS OFFICE.

Injuries

Gudnason's injuries were serious. Gudnason was taken by Sweet Springs Ems to Fitzgibbon Hospital.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2017 International Harvester 4000 driven by Gudnason was extensive. It was removed by Towed By Jackson County Tow.

The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
