VEHICLE 1 ATTEMPTED TO PASS VEHICLE 2 IN A NO-PASSING ZONE. AS VEHICLE 1 OVERTOOK VEHICLE 2, DRIVER 1 OBSERVED ONCOMING TRAFFIC IN THE EASTBOUND LANE. VEHICLE 1 RETURNED TO THE WESTBOUND LANE. THE RIGHT SIDE OF VEHICLE 1 STRUCK VEHICLE 2'S TOWED MOWER. VEHICLE 1 OVERTURNED AND REMAINED DISABLED IN THE ROADWAY.
Injuries
Dean's injuries were serious. Dean was taken by Arch Helicopter to Mercy Hospital St Louis.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2013 Case Maxx115 Tractor driven by Flake was minor. It was removed by Driven From Scene. The damage to the 2006 Kia Sportage driven by Dean was total. It was removed by Towed To/By Approved Towing.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Tpr J L Hughes of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210315094 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
