CRASH OCCURRED AS VEH 1 WAS SOUTHBOUND ON I-29, VEH 1 TRAVELLED OFF THE WEST SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. THE FRONT PASS SIDE OF VEH 1 STRUCK THE GUARDRAIL, RETURNED TO ROADWAY AND TRAVELLED OFF THE EAST SIDE OF I-29. THE FRONT DVR SIDE OF VEH 1 STRUCK A BRIDGE. VEH 1 CAME TO REST ON WHEELS FACING EAST IN PASSING LANE AND THE TOWED UNIT CAME TO REST FACING SOUTH IN PASSING LANE. ASSISTED BY TPR. V.P. WILEY (692), TPR. S.S. BASE (129), FREEMONT COUNTY, AND ATCHISON COUNTY.
Injuries
Akridge's injuries were minor. Akridge was taken to Transported Grape Community Hosptial By Atchison Holt Ambulance.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2014 Freightliner Castadia driven by Akridge was total. It was removed by Towed By Double M.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Tpr M A Harris of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210135447 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
