VEHICLE 1 WAS FAILING TO YIELD TO A LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY. VEHICLE 1 ATTEMPTED TO PASS VEHICLE 2 CAUSING THE RIGHT SIDE OF VEHICLE 1 TO STRIKE THE LEFT SIDE OF VEHICLE 2. VEHICLE 2 TRAVELLED OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY, OVERTURNED, AND STRUCK A TREE. VEHICLE 1 CONTINUED AND FAILED TO NEGOTIATE A CURVE TO THE RIGHT CAUSING VEHICLE 1 TO OVERTURN AND TRAVEL OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY.
Injuries
McDaris's injuries were moderate. McDaris was taken by Washington Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Washington.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2007 Chrysler 300 driven by Mcdaris was total. It was removed by Taken To/By Sturms. The damage to the 2013 Lexus Es350 driven by Mcgowan was total. It was removed by Taken To/By Patriot Towing.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Tpr N A Schuetz of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200613543 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
