ALL VEHICLES INVOLVED WERE TRAVELING WEST ON MISSOURI 364 IN LANE 1. VEHICLE 3 AHEAD OF VEHICLE 2; VEHICLE 2 AHEAD OF VEHICLE 1. DRIVER 1 FAILED TO MAINTAIN A SINGLE LANE AND TRAVELED OFF THE SOUTH EDGE OF THE ROADWAY. VEHICLE 2 SLOWED BEHIND VEHICLE 3. DRIVER 1 FAILED TO KEEP A PROPER LOOKOUT FOR SLOWING VEHICLES AHEAD. DRIVER 1 APPLIED THE BRAKES AND VEHICLE 1 BEGAN TO SKID OFF THE SOUTH EDGE OF THE ROADWAY. THE FRONT RIGHT OF VEHICLE 1 STRUCK THE LEFT REAR OF VEHICLE 2. AFTER IMPACT, VEHICLE 1 CONTINUED SKIDDING OFF THE SOUTH EDGE OF THE ROADWAY. THE FRONT OF VEHICLE 1 STRUCK THE REAR OF VEHICLE 3. AFTER IMPACT, VEHICLE 3 OVERTURNED ONTO ITS RIGHT SIDE AND PASSENGER 1 WAS EJECTED FROM VEHICLE 3. VEHICLE 1 TRAVELED BACK INTO THE ROADWAY AND CAME TO REST. ASSISTED BY TPR. D.L. HOLLIDAY (447), TPR. J.V. BONDURANT (1468).
Injuries
Votaw's injuries were moderate. Votaw was taken by St Charles County Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital St Louis.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2002 Ford Taurus driven by Carmichael was total. It was removed by Towed To/By A1 Towing. The damage to the 2018 Jeep Wrangler driven by Schondelmeyer was extensive. It was removed by Towed To/By A1 Towing. The damage to the 2003 Ford Mustang driven by Goad was minor. It was removed by Towed To.By A1 Towing.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Msgt T R Jenkins of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200598680 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
