DRIVER #2 STEERED TO THE RIGHT TO AVOID STRIKING VEHICLE #1. VEHICLE #1 AND VEHICLE #2 TRAVELED OFF THE WEST SIDE OF THE ROAD. THE FRONT LEFT SIDE OF VEHICLE #2 STRUCK THE FRONT RIGHT SIDE OF VEHICLE #1. VEHICLE #1 BEGAN SLIDING. VEHICLE #2 TRAVELED OFF THE ROAD AND ITS FRONT END STRUCK A TREE. VEHICLE #1 RETURNED TO THE ROAD AND CAME TO REST BLOCKING SOUTHBOUND OLD HIGHWAY 21, FACING SOUTHEAST. VEHICLE #2 CAME TO REST OFF THE ROAD, FACING WEST.
Injuries
Carrier's injuries were moderate. Carrier was taken by Rock Township Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital - South.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2016 Buick Enclave driven by Carrier was extensive. It was removed by Towed To/By Ive'S Towing. The damage to the 2006 Toyota Tacoma driven by Taube was extensive. It was removed by Towed To/By Leo'S Towing.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Tpr D A Crowell of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200529933 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
