ACCIDENT OCCURRED AS BOTH VEH1 AND VEH2 WERE BOTH NORHTBOUND ON I-29. VEH1 STRUCK THE REAR DRIVERS SIDE OF VEH2. VEH1 TRAVELED OFF THE EAST SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND INTO SOME TREES. VEH1 CAME TO REST ON ITS WHEELS FACING NORTH. VEH2 CAME TO A CONTROLLED STOP ON THE NORTHBOUND SHOULDER OF I-29. ASSISTED BY TPR. V.P. WILEY (692), ATCHISON COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, AND ROCK PORT FIRE DEPARTMENT.

Injuries

Forrest's injuries were minor. Forrest was not taken to the hospital.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2017 Ford F150 driven by Forrest was total. It was removed by Towed By/To Double M Towing Of Rock Port. The damage to the 2005 Honda Pilot driven by Rayburn was total. It was removed by Towed By/To Double M Towing Of Rock Port.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

Tpr M A Harris of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200532223 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
