Tyler Skelton Injured in a Crash on September 22, 2020 in Johnson County, Missouri

Tyler J Skelton of Chilhowee, MO was injured on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 at 9:32PM in Johnson County, Missouri. Skelton is a 17-year-old boy.

CRASH OCCURRED AS VEHICLE 1 TRAVELLED OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. DRIVER 1 OVERCORRECTED CAUSING VEHICLE TO RETURN TO THE ROAD AND TRAVEL OFF THE RIGHT SIDE. VEHICLE 1 OVERTURNED EJECTING DRIVER. VEHICLE 1 STRUCK A FENCE AND TWO TREES BEFORE COMING TO REST. ASSISTED BY JOHNSON COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT.

Injuries

Skelton's injuries were serious. Skelton was taken to Research Medical Center.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 1996 Nissan Pathfinder driven by Skelton was total. It was removed by Carlyle Tow.

Msgt D S Green of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200475317 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
