OCCURRED AS VEHICLE 1 BECAME DISABLED IN THE PASSING LANE DUE TO A FLAT TIRE. DRIVER OF VEHICLE ONE EXITED THE VEHICLE, BECOMING A PEDESTRIAN, AND WENT TO THE BACK OF THE VEHICLE TO ATTEMPT TO CHANGE THE TIRE. DRIVER OF VEHICLE 2 ATTEMPTED TO STOP BEFORE STRIKING VEHICLE 1. VEHICLE 3 REAR-ENDED VEHICLE 2, PUSHING IT INTO VEHICLE 1 AND STRIKING THE PEDESTRIAN. AFTER THE IMPACT, VEHICLE 3 TRAVELLED OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROAD, STRIKING A TRAFFIC SIGN, BEFORE COMING TO REST IN THE DITCH. VEHICLES 1 AND 2 CAME TO REST IN THE PASSING LANE, THE PEDESTRIAN WAS THROWN INTO THE MEDIAN. ASSISTED BY TPR G. A. AYRES (217), TPR J. C. Injuries
Like's injuries were minor. Like was taken by Ambulance to University Hospital.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2007 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Green was total. It was removed by Towed By Approved Auto. The damage to the 2010 Lexus Is driven by Bock was total. It was removed by Towed By Tow Pro. The damage to the 2013 Honda Odyssey driven by No driver was total. It was removed by Towed By Tow Pro.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Tpr R A Rizo of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200456718 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
