DVR #1 OVERREACTED AND OVERCORRECTED CAUSING VEH #1 TO TRAVEL OFF THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. VEH #1 STRUCK THE EMBANKMENT AND CAME TO REST ON ITS WHEELS FACING NORTHWEST. ASSISTED BY NODAWAY COUNTY SHERIFF?S OFFICE, AND MARYVILLE FIRE DEPARTMENT.
Injuries
Thurman's injuries were minor. Thurman was taken by Nodaway County Ambulance to Mosaic Maryville.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2006 Saturn 4D driven by Thurman was minor. It was removed by Towed By Kizer Towing.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Cpl S E Pritzel of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200463175 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
