Coy Walker Killed in a Crash on September 16, 2020 in Newton County, Missouri

Coy L Walker of Joplin, MO was killed on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 9:28PM in Newton County, Missouri. Walker is a 20-year-old man.

FATALITY CRASH - NEXT OF KIN NOTIFIED - THIS IS TROOP D'S 79TH FATALITY IN 2020. CRASH OCCURRED AS VEHICLE 1 TRAVELED OFF THE ROADWAY, COLLIDED WITH A UTILITY POLE AND OVERTURNED. DRIVER WAS EJECTED FROM THE VEHICLE. DRIVER WAS PRONOUNCED BY NEWTON COUNTY CORONER DALE OWENS AT 2128 HOURS. TPR T. R. MORRIS #874 WAS ASSISTED BY CPL M. PATTERSON #1127 AND TPR J DAY #363.

Injuries

Walker's injuries were fatal. Walker was taken to Transported To The Newton County Coroner'S Office.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2006 Buick Lucerne driven by Walker was total. It was removed by Towed By Riediger'S Towing Of Diamond.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

Tpr T R Morris of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200464274 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
