CRASH OCCURRED AS VEHICLE WAS TRAVELING THE WRONG DIRECTION ON MO-23. VEHICLE TRAVELED OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD THEN RETURNED TO THE ROAD. DRIVER OVERCORRECTED CAUSING VEHICLE TO TRAVEL AGAIN OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD AND OVERTURN. WHILE OVERTURNING, VEHICLE STRUCK SEVERAL SMALL TREES THEN COMING TO REST. Smith's injuries were moderate. Smith was taken by Private Conveyance to Western Missouri Medical Center.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2003 Toyota Sienna driven by Smith was total. It was removed by Towed By Tip Top Tow.

Msgt D S Green of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200424248 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
