Johnathan Burns Killed in a Crash on August 22, 2020 in Washington County, Missouri

Johnathan E Burns of Potosi, MO was killed on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 10:05PM in Washington County, Missouri. Burns is a 22-year-old man.

FATALITY REPORT - VEHICLE 1 FAILED TO NEGOTIATE A CURVE IN THE ROADWAY, TRAVELED OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY, AND STRUCK A TREE. PRONOUNCED ON SCENE AT 2304 HOURS ON 08/22/2020 BY WASHINGTON COUNTY DEPUTY CORONER STEVE HATFIELD.

Injuries

Burns's injuries were fatal. Burns was taken by The Washington County Coroner to Declue Funeral Home.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2012 Dodge Avenger driven by Burns was extensive. It was removed by Elliotts Towing.

Tpr T L Sullivan of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200411502 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
