Dennis Starnes Killed in a Crash on August 31, 2020 in Putnam County, Missouri

Dennis R Starnes of Unionville, MO was killed on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 11:10AM in Putnam County, Missouri. Starnes is a 76-year-old man.

FATALITY REPORT - VEHICLE 1 TRAVELED OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND STRUCK A FENCE AND A DITCH. ASSISTED BY TPR BORGMEYER #194, TPR CROSE #382, THE PUTNAM COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT, AND UNIONVILLE RURAL FIRE DEPARTMENT. SUBJECT PRONOUNCED DECEASED AT THE SCENE BY PUTNAM COUNTY CORONER ANNA FLESHMAN ON 08/31 AT 1156 HOURS.

Injuries

Starnes's injuries were fatal. Starnes was taken to Transported To Playle And Collins Funeral Home.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2006 Dodge Ram driven by Starnes was total. It was removed by Towed By Jarman'S Towing.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

Cpl Fessler and McIu Msgt Toal of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200428693 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
