Tyler Phelps Killed in a Crash on June 16, 2020 in Carter County, Missouri

Tyler M Phelps of Silva, MO was killed on Tuesday, June 16, 2020 at 5:31PM in Carter County, Missouri. Phelps is a 29-year-old man.

***FATALITY ACCIDENT*** OCCURRED AS VEHICLE #1 TRAVELED OFF OF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY, OVERCORRECTED, TRAVELED ACROSS THE ROADWAY AND STRUCK A TREE, EJECTING THE DRIVER. PHELPS WAS PRONOUNCED DECEASED AT THE SCENE BY ERIC MCSPADDEN AT 1835 HOURS. NEXT OF KIN NOTIFIED. TROOP G FATALITY NUMBER 15 FOR 2020 COMPARED TO 11 FOR THE SAME TIME PERIOD IN 2019.

Injuries

Phelps's injuries were fatal. Phelps was taken to Pronounced Deceased At Scene And Transported To Mcspadden Funeral Home, Van Buren.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2007 Ford F150 driven by Phelps was total. It was removed by Towed By Brooks Towing.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

Tpr C C McCoy of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200277524 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
