PLUNKETT WAS A PASSENGER. THE WRECK HAPPENED ON MO 168 5 MILES WEST OF PALMYRA. THE WRECK OCCURRED AS 01 EASTBOUND FAILED TO NEGOTIATE A CURVE, RAN OFF THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE ROADWAY, STRUCK A DITCH EJECTING THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER. CAME TO REST IN THE ROADWAY. ASSISTED BY MARION CO SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT.

INJURIES

PLUNKETT'S INJURIES WERE MODERATE. PLUNKETT WAS TRANSPORTED TO UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL IN COLUMBIA BY SURVIVAL FLIGHT HELICOPTER.

VEHICLE DAMAGE

THE MISSOURI HIGHWAY PATROL TROOP B SAID THE DAMAGE TO CLARENCE R PLUNKETT'S 2009 YAMAHA VENTURE MOTORCYCLE WAS MODERATE AND IT WAS TOWED BY PARTS WRECKER PALMYRA.
