Wyatt A Vangundy of French Village, MO was killed on Thursday, July 06, 2023 at 12:10PM in St. Francois County, Missouri. Vangundy is a 26-year-old man.

FATALITY REPORT - VEHICLE 1 WAS EASTBOUND ON ROUTE Y. VEHICLE 2 WAS WESTBOUND ON ROUTE Y. VEHICLE 1 FAILED TO NEGOTIATE A LEFT HAND CURVE IN ROADWAY AND TRAVELLED INTO THE WESTBOUND LANE. THE FRONT LEFT OF VEHICLE 1 STRUCK THE FRONT LEFT OF VEHICLE 2. THE IMPACT CAUSED VEHICLE 2 TO TRAVEL OFF THE NORTH SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND VEHICLE 1 TRAVELED OFF THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. DRIVER 1 PRONOUNCED AT PARKLAND HEALTH CENTER - BONNE TERRE BY DR. ADEDOKUN AT 1324 HOURS. ASSISTED BY TPR. R. J. STEELE (1447) AND TPR. M. D. BENSON (1269)

Injuries

Vangundy's injuries were fatal. Vangundy was taken by St Francois County Ambulance to Parkland Health Center - Bonne Terre.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2012 Honda Crv driven by Vangundy was total. It was removed by Towed To/By Marler'S Towing. The damage to the 2019 Honda Odyssey driven by Lambay was total. It was removed by Towed To/By Marler'S Towing.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

Msgt D F Isringhausen and Sgt T G Pulley of McIu Team of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 230361357 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
