FATALITY TRAFFIC CRASH - NEXT OF KIN NOTIFIED, THIS IS TROOP D'S 58TH FATALITY FOR 2022. CRASH OCCURRED AS VEHICLE 2 WAS TRAVELING AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED AND FAILED TO STOP AT THE RED LIGHT. PASSENGER OF VEHICLE 1 WAS PRONOUNCED DECEASED AT THE SCENE BY CHRISTIAN COUNTY CORONER MANDI ARMITAGE AT 2150 HOURS ON JULY 13, 2022. AS REQUIRED BY LAW THE SURVIVING DRIVER WAS TESTED FOR ALCOHOL. INVESTIGATION ASSISTED BY CRASH TEAM SGT S RICHARDSON #753 AND CPL K WATERS #736 AND SGT M LEE #842. REPORT UPDATED TO CORRECT THE SPELLING ON THE FIRST NAME OF PASSENGER IN VEHICLE 2 AND TO ADD VEHICLE 3.

Injuries

Finley's injuries were serious. Finley was taken by Ambulance to Mercy Hospital.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2015 Year Dodge Charger driven by was total. It was removed by Towed By The Blue Monkey Of Sparta. The damage to the 2017 Toyota Sienna driven by Finley was total. It was removed by Towed By The Blue Monkey In Sparta. The damage to the 2013 Kia Soul driven by Deatherage was moderate. It was removed by Driven From Scene.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

Tpr I Warren of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 220373278 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
