Joseph Ford Injured in a Crash on December 30, 2021 in Buchanan County, Missouri

ACCIDENT OCCURED AS VEHICLE 1 WAS TRAVELING NORTHBOUND ON I-229, VEHICLE 1 BEGAN SLIDING ON WET PAVEMENT AND TRAVELED OFF THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. VEHICLE 1 RETURNED TO THE ROADWAY AND BEGAN SKIDDING BEFORE OVERTURNING. VEHICLE 1 CAME TO REST ON IT'S WHEELS FACING WEST. ASSISTED BY SGT. R. P. DUDECK (516), BUCHANAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE, AND SAINT JOSEPH POLICE DEPARTMENT.

Injuries

Ford's injuries were minor. Ford was taken to Transported By Private Vehicle.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2002 Chevrolet Pickup driven by Ford was total. It was removed by Towed By All-City Towing.

Tpr R A Allee of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210677664 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
