DRIVER 1 FAILED TO NEGOTIATE A CURVE IN THE ROADWAY TO THE LEFT. DRIVER 1 SLOWED VEHICLE 1 AND VEHICLE 1 SKIDDED. VEHICLE 1 OVERTURNED ON ITS LEFT SIDE AND TRAVELED OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. DRIVER 1 WAS COMPLETELY EJECTED. BOTH DRIVER 1 AND VEHICLE 1 CONTINUED, OUT OF CONTROL, AND CROSSED CEDAR HILL ROAD. VEHICLE 1 BECAME AIRBORNE AND STRUCK A FENCE. VEHICLE 1 CAME TO REST OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY, FACING EAST, ON ITS LEFT SIDE. DRIVER 1 CAME TO REST OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY.
Injuries
Copeland's injuries were minor. Copeland was taken by Big River Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital - South.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2005 Kawasaki Ninja 636 driven by Copeland was total. It was removed by Towed To/By Northwest Towing.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Tpr J D Procknow of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210528205 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
