James Uitts Killed in a Crash on May 22, 2021 in Newton County, Missouri

James I Uitts of Joplin, MO was killed on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at 10:20PM in Newton County, Missouri. Uitts is a 50-year-old man.

OCCURRED AS VEHICLE #1 RAN OFF ROADWAY, STRUCK A DITCH, STRUCK A TELEPHONE POLE, OVERTURNED, AND STRUCK SOME TREES. BOTH SUBJECTS WERE PRONOUNCED ON SCENE AT 2226 AND 2242 HOURS BY NEWTON COUNTY DEPUTY CORONER BRIAN ARTHERTON. ASSISTED BY SGT C.S. MASON #1244, TPR M.W. COLEMAN #1320, AND SGT M.A. GOODSON #570.

Injuries

Uitts's injuries were fatal. Uitts was taken to Taken To Parker'S Funeral Home.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan driven by Uitts was total. It was removed by Towed By Chuck'S.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

Cpl C C Clark of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210248775 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
