Dakota Logan Killed in a Crash on May 13, 2021 in Warren County, Missouri

Dakota A Logan of Warrenton, MO was killed on Thursday, May 13, 2021 at 9:17PM in Warren County, Missouri. Logan is a 19-year-old man.

FATALITY REPORT - VEHICLE 1 WAS TRAVELLING NORTHBOUND ON MO-47. VEHICLE 1 WAS TRAVELLING TOO FAST FOR CONDITIONS OF THE ROADWAY. DRIVER 1 FAILED TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF VEHICLE 1. VEHICLE 1 TRAVELLED OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY, STRUCK AN EMBANKMENT AND A GROUP OF TREES. VEHICLE 1 RETURNED TO THE ROADWAY AND OVERTURNED. DRIVER 1 WAS EJECTED OUT OF THE BACK WINDOW. VEHICLE 1 CONTINUED OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. THE FRONT OF VEHICLE 2 STRUCK DRIVER 1. DRIVER 1 WAS PRONOUNCED ON SCENE BY WARREN COUNTY EMS PERSONNEL AT 2132 HOURS ON 05/13/2021.

Injuries

Logan's injuries were fatal. Logan was taken by Warren County Ambulance District to Martin Funeral Home.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2007 Mercury Montego driven by Logan was total. It was removed by Towed To/By Mays Service. The damage to the 1999 Chevrolet S-10 driven by Likes was none. It was removed by Driven From Scene.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

Msgt P J Kempke of Crash Team and Tpr J L Hughes of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210231530 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
