DRIVER 4 WAS FOLLOWING VEHICLE 1 TOO CLOSELY. DRIVER 4 ATTEMPTED TO AVOID IMPACT TO THE RIGHT BUT THE FRONT LEFT OF VEHICLE 1 STRUCK THE RIGHT REAR OF VEHICLE 1.
Injuries
Redmon's injuries were minor. Redmon was taken by St Charles County Ambulance District to Ssm Health St Joseph Hospital Lake St Louis.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2013 Honda Civic driven by was total. It was removed by Towed By/To Ratteree. The damage to the 2019 Land Rover Range Rover driven by Gillis was moderate. It was removed by Driven From Scene. The damage to the 2020 Ford Edge driven by Brautigam was moderate. It was removed by Towed By/To Ratteree. The damage to the 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by Redmon was extensive. It was removed by Towed By/To Budget.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Cpl K L Hammerling of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210164183 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
