DUE TO RUSH HOUR TRAFFIC, VEHICLES AHEAD WERE SLOWING. DRIVER #1 WAS FOLLOWING VEHICLE #2 TOO CLOSELY. THE FRONT OF VEHICLE #1 STRUCK THE REAR OF VEHICLE #2 (IMPACT #1). AFTER IMPACT, VEHICLE #2 TRAVELED OFF THE SOUTH EDGE OF THE ROADWAY AND THE FRONT OF VEHICLE #2 STRUCK THE CONCRETE MEDIAN WALL (IMPACT #2). VEHICLE #1 TRAVELED INTO LANE #3 AND THE FRONT OF VEHICLE #1 STRUCK THE TOWED UNIT OF VEHICLE #3 (IMPACT #3).
Injuries
Leech's injuries were minor. Leech was taken by St. Charles County Ambulance to Ssm Health St. Joseph Hospital West.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2015 Nissan Altima driven by Brown was extensive. It was removed by Superior Towing. The damage to the 2006 Buick Lacrosse driven by Voss was total. It was removed by Superior Towing. The damage to the 2006 Volvo Conventional Tractor driven by Heatley was minor. It was removed by Driven From Scene.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Msgt T R Jenkins of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210141790 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
