CRASH OCCURRED AS VEH 1 WAS TRAVELING EASTBOUND ON US-59. VEH 1 TRAVELED OFF THE SOUTH SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND STRUCK A LARGE ROCK. DRIVER 1 OVERCORRECTED CAUSING VEH TO SKID. VEH 1'S DRIVER SIDE WHEELS CAUGHT THE GROUND CAUSING VEH 1 TO ROLL. VEH 1 CAME TO REST OFF THE ROADWAY ON THE DRIVERS SIDE FACING WEST. ASSISTED BY BUCHANAN COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE.

Injuries

Armstrong's injuries were serious. Armstrong was taken by Buchanan County Ems to Mosaic Life Care In St Joseph.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2000 Gmc Jimmy driven by Armstrong was total. It was removed by Towed By Atchison Express Lube.

Cpl R P Dudeck of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200558382 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
