Colt Burnham Injured in a Crash on October 19, 2020 in Franklin County, Missouri

Colt W Burnham of Dittmer, MO was injured on Monday, October 19, 2020 at 3:55PM in Franklin County, Missouri. Burnham is a 17-year-old boy.

DRIVER 1 WAS TRAVELING TOO FAST FOR WET CONDITIONS, FAILED TO NEGOTIATE A TURN, AND FAILED TO MAINTAIN CONTROL OF VEHICLE 1. VEHICLE 1 BEGAN TO SKID CLOCKWISE AND CROSSED THE CENTER OF THE ROAD. THE LEFT SIDE OF VEHICLE 1 STRUCK THE FRONT OF VEHICLE 2. THE IMPACT CAUSED VEHICLE 1 TO TRAVEL OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY.

Injuries

Burnham's injuries were serious. Burnham was taken by Meramec Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital St Louis.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2000 Volvo S40 driven by Burnham was total. It was removed by Towed By/To Patriot. The damage to the 2018 Dodge Ram 3500 driven by Baysinger was total. It was removed by Towed By/To Patriot.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

Tpr R J Steele of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200524922 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
