Charity Baker Killed in a Crash on September 18, 2020 in Phelps County, Missouri

Charity L Baker of Dixon, MO was killed on Friday, September 18, 2020 at 4:40AM in Phelps County, Missouri. Baker is a 40-year-old woman.

FATALITY CRASH VEHICLE 1 TRAVELED ACROSS THE CENTER OF THE ROADWAY AND STRUCK VEHICLE 2 HEAD ON. DRIVER OF VEHICLE 1 WAS PRONOUNCED AT UNIVERSITY HOSPITAL COLUMBIA BY DR. NELSON AT 0900 HRS. NEXT OF KIN WAS NOTIFIED BY DR. NELSON AT THE HOSPITAL. THE BODY OF THE DECEASED WAS TRANSPORTED TO THE COLUMBIA MO VA MEDICAL CENTER. THIS IS TROOP I'S 3RD FATALITY FOR THE MONTH OF SEPTEMBER, AND THE 22ND FOR 2020.

Injuries

Baker's injuries were fatal. Baker was taken by Phelps Air to University Hospital In Columbia.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2019 Ford F150 driven by Alexander was total. It was removed by Towed By Plaza Towing. The damage to the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Baker was total. It was removed by Towed By Ron Dishman Towing.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

Tpr N W Summers of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 200466181 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
