DRIVER 1 FAILED TO NEGOTIATE A CURVE TO THE LEFT AND LEANED TOO FAR TO THE RIGHT. VEHICLE 1 [THE 2005 HARLEY DAVIDSON DRIVEN BY PHILLIP MCGREGOR] STRUCK THE PAVEMENT, WITH EITHER THE FOOT PEG OR REST. VEHICLE 1 [THE 2005 HARLEY DAVIDSON DRIVEN BY PHILLIP MCGREGOR] SLID ACROSS THE CENTER OF THE ROAD AND CONTINUED OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD. VEHICLE 1 [THE 2005 HARLEY DAVIDSON DRIVEN BY PHILLIP MCGREGOR] CONTINUED OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND DOWN AN EMBANKMENT. VEHICLE 1 [THE 2005 HARLEY DAVIDSON DRIVEN BY PHILLIP MCGREGOR] STRUCK THE EMBANKMENT, OVERTURNED AND EJECTED BOTH OCCUPANTS. PROUNOUNCED DEAD AT SCENE BY HICKORY COUNTY CORONER CONNIE BOLLER AT 1430.

Injuries

McGregor's injuries were minor. McGregor was taken to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2005 Harley Davidson driven by Phillip McGregor was extensive. It was removed by Defreece Towing of Hermitage.

The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report.
