ACCORDING TO DRIVER #3, AN UNIDENTIFIED VEHICLE TRAVELING IN FRONT OF HIM ABRUPTLY APPLIED THEIR VEHICLE BRAKES. DRIVER #3 APPLIED HIS VEHICLE'S BRAKES AND STEERED VEHICLE #3 TO THE LEFT TO AVOID THE UNIDENTIFIED VEHICLE. THE FRONT LEFT OF VEHICLE #3 STRUCK THE REAR RIGHT SIDE OF VEHICLE #2. VEHICLE #2 THEN ROTATED CLOCKWISE AND THE FRONT OF VEHICLE #2 STRUCK THE REAR LEFT SIDE OF VEHICLE #1. AFTER THE INITIAL IMPACT, VEHICLE #3 SLID OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY AND THE FRONT LEFT OF VEHICLE #3 STRUCK THE CONCRETE MEDIAN TRAFFIC BARRIER
Injuries
Mireles's injuries were moderate. Mireles was taken by Abbott Ambulance to St Louis Childrens Hospital.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by George Holtzman was minor. The damage to the 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by Peyton Taylor was total. It was removed by Terrys Towing. The damage to the 2007 GMC C 5500 driven by Wesley Declue was total. It was also removed by Terrys Towing.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Master Sergeant T M Williams of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 180045764 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $5.75 for each certified report (certification required for court). But you can call 877-925-1969 to request a free copy of the report. The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted or blacked out.
