SCOTT WAS A DRIVER. THE WRECK HAPPENED ON WESTBOUND I-70 EAST OF LUCAS AND HUNT. THE WRECK OCCURRED AS VEHICLE 1 WAS TRAVELING WEST ON I-70 BEHIND VEHICLE 2. VEHICLE 2 SLOWED FOR TRAFFIC CONGESTION. VEHICLE 1 FAILED TO SLOW, DUE TO A MECHANICAL PROBLEM, AND THE FRONT OF VEHICLE 1 STRUCK THE REAR OF VEHICLE 2.

INJURIES

SCOTT'S INJURIES WERE NONE. SCOTT WAS TAKEN TO DRIVEN FROM SCENE BY HOODS TOWING.

VEHICLE DAMAGE

THE MISSOURI HIGHWAY PATROL TROOP C SAID THE DAMAGE TO MICHELLE L ARAKAKI'S 2008 PONTIAC SOLSTICE WAS MODERATE AND IT WAS DRIVEN FROM SCENE.
