XU WAS A DRIVER. THE WRECK HAPPENED ON WESTBOUND 470 WEST OF DOUGLAS. THE WRECK OCCURRED AS VEHICLE 1 WAS TRAVELLING IN THE CENTER LANE ON WESTBOUND 470. VEHICLE 1 MERGED INTO THE LEFT LANE STRIKING VEHICLE 2. VEHICLE 2 WAS REDIRECTED TRAVELLED OFF THE ROAD TO THE LEFT AND STRUCK THE CABLE BARRIER. VEHICLE 2 TRAVELLED UNDER THE CABLE BARRIER AND INTO THE EASTBOUND LANES WHERE IT STRUCK VEHICLE 3. AFTER IMPACT VEHICLE 2 TRAVELLED OFF THE ROAD AND STRUCK THE EARTH EMBANKMENT AND INTO THE TREE LINE.

XU'S INJURIES WERE MODERATE. XU WAS TRANSPORTED TO ST LUKES BY LEES SUMMIT FIRE.

THE MISSOURI HIGHWAY PATROL TROOP A SAID THE DAMAGE TO SANDRA L MIRANDA'S 2000 LEXUS RX300 WAS TOTAL AND IT WAS TOWED BY ABC TOW.
