CRASH OCCURRED AS VEH 1 WAS NORTHBOUND ON RT D. VEH 1 TRAVELLED OFF THE EAST SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. DVR OVERCORRECTED CAUSING VEH 1 TO RETURN TO THE ROADWAY AND START SKIDDING AND SLIDING. VEH 1 TRAVELLED OFF THE WEST SIDE OF ROADWAY AND STRUCK AN EMBANKMENT. AFTER IMPACT WITH THE EMBANKMENT, VEH 1 OVERTURNED. VEH 1 CAME TO REST OFF THE WEST SIDE OF ROADWAY ON ITS TOP FACING EAST. ASSISTED BY ANDREW COUNTY.
Injuries
Portenier's injuries were minor. Portenier was taken by Andrew Co Ambulance to Mosaic Lifecare St Joseph Mo.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu driven by Portenier was total. It was removed by Towed By Blue Knight.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Cpl J D Farmer of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 230185156 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
