DRIVER 1 FAILED TO STOP AT THE ELECTRIC SIGNAL, AND THE FRONT LEFT OF VEHICLE 1 STRUCK THE LEFT SIDE OF VEHICLE 2. THE IMPACT CAUSED VEHICLE 2 TO TRAVEL OFF THE NORTH SIDE OF ROUTE M AND STRUCK A METAL GUARDRAIL.
Injuries
Pope's injuries were minor. Pope was taken by Rock Township Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital Jefferson.
Vehicle Damage
The police said the damage to the 2014 Ford Focus driven by Pope was moderate. It was removed by Towed By/To Mccains Towing. The damage to the 2006 Peterbilt 379 driven by King was minor. It was removed by Driven From Scene.
How To Get the Highway Patrol Report
Tpr T H Elliston of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210504648 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
