Larry Hood Injured in a Crash on September 26, 2021 in Franklin County, Missouri

Larry J Hood of Robertsville, MO was injured on Sunday, September 26, 2021 at 8:11PM in Franklin County, Missouri. Hood is a 67-year-old man.

The crash happened here: eastbound Missouri 30 west of Thunderbird Court.

VEHICLE 1 WAS TRAVELING WESTBOUND ON MISSOURI 30. VEHICLE 2 WAS TRAVELING EASTBOUND MISSOURI 30. DRIVER 1 CROSSED THE CENTER LINE. THE FRONT OF VEHICLE 1 STRUCK THE FRONT LEFT OF VEHICLE 2, EJECTING DRIVER 1. VEHICLE 1 THEN TRAVELED OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY.

Injuries

Hood's injuries were serious. Hood was taken by Air Evac Helicopter to Barnes-Jewish Hospital, St. Louis.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2005 Dodge Ram driven by Armstrong was moderate. It was removed by Towed To/By Vogelgesang'S Towing. The damage to the 2014 Harley Davidson Heritage Softtail Classic driven by Hood was total. It was removed by Towed To/By Vogelgesang'S Towing.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

Tpr C C Marlow of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210507739 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
