Lindsay Carter Injured in a Crash on April 17, 2021 in Jefferson County, Missouri

Lindsay A Carter of Genevieve, MO was injured on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 12:29PM in Jefferson County, Missouri. Carter is a 30-year-old woman.

VEHICLE #1 AND VEHICLE #2 WERE TRAVELING IN THE RIGHT LANE ON SOUTHBOUND INTERSTATE 55, NORTH OF ROUTE TT, RESPECTIVELY. THIS CRASH OCCURRED WHEN THE FRONT END OF VEHICLE #1 STRUCK THE REAR OF VEHICLE #2'S TRAILER. VEHICLE #1'S FRONT END STRUCK VEHICLE #2'S TRAILER A SECOND TIME AS VEHICLE #1 TRAVELED INTO THE LEFT LANE. VEHICLE #1 TRAVELED OFF THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ROAD AND STRUCK THE CABLE MEDIAN BARRIER. VEHICLE #1 CROSSED THE MEDIAN AND TRAVELED ACROSS THE NORTHBOUND LANES OF INTERSTATE 55. ASSISTED BY CPL. A. FLANNERY (551) AND TPR. M. MORICE (545).

Injuries

Carter's injuries were moderate. Carter was taken by Joachim-Plattin Ambulance District to Mercy Hospital Jefferson.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2017 Nissan Sentra driven by Carter was total. It was removed by Towed To/By D&J Towing. The damage to the 2021 Freightliner Tractor Trailer driven by Jones was minor. It was removed by Driven From Scene.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

Tpr D Crowell of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210181483 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
