CRASH OCCURRED AS VEHICLE 2 SLOWED FOR TRAFFIC AND WAS STRUCK IN THE REAR BY VEHICLE 1. VEHICLE 2 SLID OFF THE ROADWAY AND CAME TO REST. VEHICLE 1 THEN SLID OFF THE ROADWAY AND THE TOWED UNIT OF VEHICLE 1 OVERTURNED. ASSISTED BY PETTIS COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT AND SMITHTON POLICE DEPARTMENT.

Gilmore's injuries were serious. Gilmore was taken by Pcad to Bothwell Regional Health Center.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2012 Freightliner driven by Douglas was extensive. It was removed by Towed By Don'S Towing. The damage to the 2003 Chevrolet Silverado driven by Gilmore was total. It was removed by Towed By State Fair Towing.

How To Get the Highway Patrol Report

Msgt M D Degraffenreid of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 210185803 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $6.90 for each certified report (certification required for court). The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted (blacked out).
