AFTER IMPACT, VEHICLE 1 [THE 2007 PONTIAC G 6 DRIVEN BY ELIZABETH EIDSON] STRUCK PEDESTRIAN (WORKER FROM VEHICLE 2 [THE 2018 PETERBILT TRASH TRUCK DRIVEN BY JEFFERY MOAD]) AS VEHICLE 1 [THE 2007 PONTIAC G 6 DRIVEN BY ELIZABETH EIDSON] TRAVELED OFF THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE ROADWAY. DRIVER 1 WAS PRONOUNCED DECEASED AT THE SCENE AT 0810 BY MONITEAU COUNTY CORONER MARTY RAMSDELL. THIS IS TROOP F'S 3RD FATALITY FOR OCTOBER AND 45TH FOR 2017. ASSISTED BY CPL S.M. CAMPBELL (242), CVO SPRV S.M. SULING (W025), TPR B.A. DETTENWANGER (1323), AND THE MONITEAU COUNTY SHERIFF'S OFFICE

Injuries

King's injuries were moderate. King was taken by Mid Mo Ambulance to St. Mary's Hospital.

Vehicle Damage

The police said the damage to the 2007 Pontiac G 6 driven by Elizabeth Eidson was total. It was towed from the crash scene by Towed by Wood's Towing- Eldon. The damage to the 2018 Peterbilt Trash Truck driven by Jeffery Moad was minor. It was not towed from the scene.

Sergeant D R Barbour and Sergeant G D Ward with the Major Crash Investigation Unit Team of the Missouri State Highway Patrol wrote up the report. The highway patrol assigned report number 170654040 to this crash. The highway patrol charges $5.75 for each certified report (certification required for court). But you can call 877-925-1969 to request a free copy of the report. The highway patrol is currently backlogged and they state on their website that you will have to wait 10 days and may have to wait an "extended period of time" beyond that for the report. Further, unless you qualify under the Federal Driver's Privacy Protection Act, the report you get will have important and necessary information such as photographs, social security numbers, driver license numbers, names, addresses and telephone numbers redacted or blacked out.
